PART of Westford members will operate special event station K1P in Concord on Patriots’ Day weekend in Massachusetts, a state holiday which commemorates the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord–the first battles of the American Revolutionary War.
Look for K1P on the bands April 16-17 on 80 through 10 meters as conditions permit. More details are available at http://www.wb1gof.org/K1P/K1P.html.
Andy Stewart, KB1OIQ comments on PART-L on 4/16/11 at 9:12PM ET:
We had a great time at K1P today at the Concord Rod and Gun Club in Concord, MA. We had probably 15-20 people show up today to look at the facility, operate the rig, socialize, and do some logging. We made about 140 QSOs, mostly on 15m. The band was open and we held a frequency for 6 straight hours.
We also had a satellite station in operation! Bob (KB1SWZ) put K1P on the air on AO-27. You can hear those QSOs by listening to this MP3 file:

I think we logged K8TL, AC0RA, K8YSE, N2BX, and KB1RVP based on what I heard on the recording.
We will be operating again on Sunday starting at 10 AM – 4 PM. I look forward to seeing you there! We have openings for operators and loggers, so if you are interested, let me know, or just show up.
Have a lot of fun, and 73,
Andy
