Darrel has been interested in radio and electronics since high school and has served 4 years in Air Force Radar Tech. He was granted the tech FCC license after classes in 1999. He became fascinated with Emergency Comm after visiting twin towers on Labor Day 2001. He was appointed Emergency Coordinator while putting together North Middlesex ARES Group in 2004 and appointed as ADEC for Middlesex County in 2015. He continues with NMAG through the present day.
