There are dozens of SKYWARN Repeaters used across Southern New England when SKYWARN is active. Not every repeater will be active depending on the extent of the weather threat but many of these repeaters will be utilized during severe weather in any season so that information can be provided to the National Weather Service. In addition, EchoLink/IRLP links maybe utilized to do repeater to repeater connections or to link into the New England Network/IRLP Reflector/EchoLink Integrated Conference system along with two other systems that back up the New England system in case of failure.
