The Framingham Amateur Radio Association has introduced an innovative program in which club members who successfully complete the ARRL EmComm Level One on-line course receive reimbursement for their tuition. The idea was suggested by FARA Scholarship Chairperson Dick Cosma, AA1VI.
“This is a great incentive to learn something new and be a part of emergency communications and public service,” writes FARA President Gordy Bello, K1GB. “We hope to build a group of competent EMCOMM people in FARA.”
FARA members who have already passed Level One will have the opportunity to receive the same reimbursement if they successfully pass Level Two. Bello encourages all club members to take advantage of this special offer.
