Members of the Whitman Amateur Radio Club will conduct a fox hunt on Sunday, July 27, 2008 somewhere in Hanson. NI1X will act as the “fox”; he will transmit for one minute on 146.565 simplex every five minutes between 2 and 4 p.m. while hiding in a public place. According to reliable sources, the fox will make “bonus transmissions” and some not-so-helpful hints to the hunters. Coordination will be on the Whitman repeater on 147.225 MHz (PL 67 Hz).
