Norton Founders Day Ham Help Needed, June 18

Ray Cord, K2TGX writes on the Sturdy Memorial Hospital ARC list:

If you haven’t been to a club meeting in a couple of months then you missed signing up for the Norton Founders Day on Saturday on Saturday, June 18th from 4PM to 10PM. We will need people to manage parking lots, traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

If you haven’t signed up at the club, please send me an email with the hours you can work if not the whole gig.

We will be using 2M simplex for the Ham Ops.

Tnx 73,

  1. Ray Cord writes on June 18:

“On behalf of Chief Schleicher, myself and the Command Staff of Norton EMA, a huge THANK YOU for Volunteering for our reinvigorated Founders Day 2018.
I know the Chief made the rounds and personally tried to thank every volunteer there. If you had never met him, We hope you got a chance to meet him.
There were 33 Volunteers from 6 EMA Agencies, Norton, Mansfield, Attleboro, Plainville, Rehoboth and Taunton. Equipment was provided by 3 EMA’s Norton, Mansfield and Rehoboth.Nine participants were also Volunteers from the Sturdy Memorial Hospital Amateur Radio Club. It is the largest turnout that we have ever had for a Planned Event, Thank you.

“If anyone has any pictures of our EMA-CERT Founders Day Activities can you please forward them to me so that we can post an album on Facebook.

“Also, while it is fresh in your mind, can you please send me an email with your comments as to what worked and what didn’t work and what we should consider for next year. We will compile that into an After Action Report that will be disseminated to those who contribute and the Officers. I know that using ICS and dividing the Campus into Sectors with Sector Leaders, certainly made things more manageable. Having the Sector Leaders on Radio Channel UTac1 Direct also worked well. Give us your input.

“Again we can’t Thank you enough for what you do.”
