The KC1DKY fox is once again out and about in Chelmsford on town land. Fox is on 146.565 MHz. Send a DTMF of 1 to activate the fox. If the fox does not seem to be responding, send a couple DTMF # and then a 1 to possibly whack it back into shape. The fox will signal for 30 seconds and be silent for 15 seconds, and repeat for 15 minutes. The fox is located about a quarter of a mile from the parking area and only about 30 ft. in from the trail. Don’t forget to sign the log book in the plastic bag next to the fox.

I retrieved the fox during lunch today from Russell Mill Pond and Chelmsford Town Forest. Two hunters were successful in locating the box:
K1IG – George; he found it on Friday, Nov 30th, not long after I e-mailed the group. I feel kind of bad as it took him 1.5hours to find, as it was one of the hardest. On the other hand, I got kudos for a good job hiding it.
W1FDR – el Loco, Bob; he also found it after 1.5 toggles, which must be something like 25minutes or so.
I shall charge it up, check the weather, and redeploy if the weekend looks nice.
Incidentally – does anyone have any “requests”? A place to hide it? Longer transmit time, shorter off time? No hints in the e-mails? More cryptic hints in the e-mails? I can’t accommodate everything, but I’ll take ideas under advisement.
