7/5/05 ARES Prolog: Eric Horwitz, KA1NCF Born November of 1968 Grow up in Magnolia, MA Graduated in 1992 with B.S.E.E.T. from University of Hartford, CT Now Living in Peabody, MA with my wife, Beth I got my ticket in 1987 and join the North Shore Radio Association shortly after that. Over the years I have spent my time on the Board of Directors of NSRA in many positions including, President, for a few years, VP and Membership Chairman and now Treasurer for several years as well as one of the main webmasters for the club web site at www.nsradio.org. I also spend my free time coordinating and working at all the North Shore Public service events. Over the past few years we have built the Public Service end of the club to the point where we now have 10 – 15 events during a summer season. By day, I am a software programmer working for a Peabody based company that develops and builds Digital Radiology X-ray equipment for use in Hospitals around the world. I also have been heavily involved in my local SkyWarn activities and have started to rebuild that section of my area, so we have more participation in the emergency communication areas. My other hobby is a small aircraft enthusiast. I go to the biggest general aviation air show every year in Oshkosh, WI. |
