Traditional ARRL Start to the New Year:
As is a long-standing tradition within the ARRL, each New Year begins with the Straight Key Night (SKN) commencing at 0000 UTC and lasting for 24 hours. This annual event honors the history of amateur radio and reminds us of the fun of simple communication methods. If you participated, please remember to email a list of stations you contacted along with your vote for “Best Fist” and “Most Interesting QSO” to straightkey@arrl.org. Entries for Straight Key Night must be received by January 31.
Winter Field Day:
Another fun get on the air event is Winter Field Day on January 27-28. Visit https://winterfieldday.org/ for details.
