Biographical Information
Paul Graveline of Andover MA passed his Novice license while a freshman in high school. He now holds an Extra Class license. He was assigned K1YUB and has held that call all his Ham career. In his early days he favored operating CW which continued through the years.
Paul is a veteran of Hamfests around the country, both as an attendee and as a vendor representative. He has also taught numerous Novice and General courses.
After 33 years as a Reading Specialist in the Reading Public Schools, Paul is now retired.
Some highlights of Paul’s contributions to ham radio:
- Past President of the Somerville Amateur Radio Club
- Past Secretary of the Billerica Amateur Radio Society (BARS)
- Assistant Editor for the AMSAT Journal; is now a contributor to the Journal as well as a member of a team developing a CUBESAT simulator
- Paul’s exclusive interview with Dr. Tamitha Skov, WX6SWW, one of the world’s leading experts in Space Weather, was the cover story for the Journal’s 2022 Jan/Feb edition
- Paul is now on the Steering Committee for Dr. Skov’s Space Weather Woman project
Ham radio has played a major role in Paul’s life and now as Section Youth Coordinator he intends to make a contribution to the future of ham radio.
