CAARA Makes Progress on EmComm Planning

CAARA logoThe Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association is making significant progress in organizing its emergency communications capabilities, according to CAARA President Curtis Wright, AA3JS.

“On November 15th we had the organizational meeting for the Emergency Communications Group. And we met with the Cape Ann Major Disaster Committee on the 17th.”

Wright reports that the City of Gloucester is very pleased with the club’s willingness to prepare for emergencies.

“It is very clear that FEMA, MEMA and the City of Gloucester are all counting on us if things get bad.”
