Leaders in Massachusetts’ RACES, ARES, Skywarn and MARS organizations met this weekend at the State’s Emergency Operations Center in Framingham. Attendees discussed a variety of topics, including:
* A proposed Rhode Island emergency drill in the spring
* A review of WebEOC
* NWS Storm Ready Program and Skywarn Support
* Increasing Amateur Radio PR opportunities
* Navy-Marine Corps MARS emergency readiness (NNN0DAB)
* BAA Boston Marathon
* Winlink 2K update
The various MARS services, ARES, and Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency headquarters and regions were represented. Dennis Dura, K2DCD, ARRL’s Manager of Emergency Preparedness & Response also attended.
