A Bristol County Repeater Association member was featured in a well-written human interest story appearing in the Westport Shorelines newspaper. The article highlights Ken Smith, K1ICM of Tiverton, RI, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and his short book, “Coast Guard Follies: My Humor in Uniform.” In the article, Smith recounts his experiences in the service and describes his favorite pastimes–among them, Amateur Radio.
