Wellesley Town Parade Canceled–Twice!

Wellesley ARS logoIn April we reported on plans by the Wellesley Amateur Radio Society to assist with organizing the Wellesley Wonderful Weekend Parade. [See Wellesley ARS To Assist With Town Parade.]

Unbelievably, the Wellesley Parade was postponed twice, reports WARS President Dan Brown, W1DAN. “The Wellesley Parade was an interesting non-event this year,” Brown writes. Six amateurs showed up to assist on the rescheduled date, June 3, 2007, but the parade was again canceled due to inclement weather. “We actually helped make phone calls to alert the participants of the cancellation.”

The parade may be held in the fall, writes W1DAN.
